Presbyterian Disaster Assistance has
provided $30,000 in support of the "All Our Children Campaign" recently
endorsed by Jimmy and Rosalyn Carter. The Carters in their endorsement
wrote: "The immediate goal is to provide emergency medical supplies to save
thousands of Iraqi children who are victims of an international situation
for which they have no responsibility. We believe that God intends for us
always to seek ways to alleviate suffering and to settle differences so that
the innocent are not harmed."
The $1 million "All Our Children" campaign
will help to meet the critical ongoing health needs of Iraqi children for
antibiotics, anesthesia, IV solution kits, and clean water resources.
Critical care assistance for Iraqi children will be delivered through a
coalition of non-governmental organizations that includes PDA partners, ACT
and Church World Service.
