A Princeton alumnus takes note ....
Several graduates of Princeton Theological Seminary
have noted two items in the "class notes" of the latest
alumni/ae magazine, inSpire.
Philip Young, class of 1955, has been elected
treasurer of the National Council of Churches, and Roberto Delgado,
class of 1959, has been elected secretary of the same body.
With all the criticism of the NCC in the conservative
Presbyterian press, it is worth noting that the Princeton tradition
includes recognition of the importance of ecumenical cooperation and the
social concern that has accompanied it.
