New tax notions arouse indignation |
| "Lucky duckies"??
A visitor points to likely new tax policies as a
further cause for protest on behalf of justice. [12-4-02]
Here's the note we received on 12-3-02.
Hello,
I thought I pretty well understood the underlying ideology of the
ever-growing radical right-wing movement ("conservative" is
too understated a description to be appropriate any longer), but this
column enlightened me even further. The cynicism of such thinking
exposed (unwittingly?) in the Wall Street Journal should
produce an outcry from all decent Americans, but it will be lost or
ignored on most of us, probably because we've become numb to it (and not
much seems to shock the general media anymore). At least this outrageous
injustice didn't get by this particular columnist.
I'm hoping by sending this that you will post the abstract and link to
this article, but for now please don't include my name or email address.
Thanks for your attention, and for the work of the Witherspoon Society!
